CDM Workshop

Course Details

This 1 day CDM workshop is designed to provide participants with a knowledge of the CDM Regulations 2007 and associated legislation.  Whether acting as clients, principle contractors or part of a design team, this interactive  course is a must, for those involved in Construction Design and Management.  Participants are encouraged to bring to the course matters that are  of concern to them in the implementation of their projects.

Course Contents

  • Roles, duties and competence requirements of duty holders.
  • Understand the 2007 requirements in respect of notifiable and non-notifiable projects and the responsibilities of duty holders.
  • Contents of the Pre-Construction Information (PCI), and Construction Phase Health and Safety Plan and the Health and Safety File.
  • Framework of safety legislation linked to the management of construction, engineering and building projects.
  • Gaining a sound working knowledge of regulations and how these should be interpreted and put into effect.
  • Ensuring adequate communication.
  • Planning and overall management of the project.

The course is aimed at Designers, CDM Co-ordinators, Clients, Senior Managers, Project Managers and Directors wishing to fully understand their (or others) responsibilities under the CDM and associated regulations for the management of projects, it is also for anyone who needs to gain in-depth knowledge of the requirements and discuss the problems encountered in implementation and compliance.
